PARAKEET HOUSE
Our crew has been working long and hard on the Parakeet House in South East London. The house design was inspired by the parakeet bird which inhabits the South East and brings playful joyfulness to the tree tops of the suburbia. Although the project is only half way through, we are finally reaching this stage where it is starting to hatch out and reveal itself to the amusement of ourselves, neighbours and passers-by.
For the crew on site it feels like a turning point as finally, after months of intense work, it has started to show the results and it fuels the determination to keep up the good work. A few weeks back the works on the Western façade have been completed and the scaffold removed to give the first glimpse of the new building. We ran excitedly like kids to the street to admire our work and take photos. The Parakeet House just gave us the first spur of joy and we hope there will be many to come.
